Very excited to announce the signing of The Weight Band, and the release of their album “World Gone Mad” on Curve Music.
Featuring members of The Band, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson and Levon Helms band, The Woodstock based Weight Band is not a tribute to The Band but rather a continuation of where The Band and members left off. Members include Jim Weider, Marty Grebb, Brian Mitchell, Albert Rogers and Michael Bram…
Songs written by The Band, Levon Helm… and Colin Linden.

    I’m a musical veteran and songwriter of 50 years. I saw The Band in Miami 1968; they closed with Rag Moma Rag, and my musical life was forever changed. I saw The Weight Band in Sacramento with friends last night. We were truly touched and inspired by their performances. Had Rick, Levon or Richard magically reappeared, they would have thanked them for a job well done! Their spirit lives on… TWB originals could easily have been The Band’s new album. Well done gentlemen. Maybe someday I can do The Weight with you:~) I sing the heck out of it. Love and health, Jim and Pat Goodman
