In advance of the release of the album “World Gone Mad” by The Weight Band, this short documentary was created. Keeping the spirit and the music alive that helped define an era, members of The Weight Band were either actual players in The Band, or are directly and deeply connected to their legacy. We are over the moon over yet another nomination for one of our artists The Dead South! This is especially exciting since these nominations by BreakOut West reflect to some degree their Juno Awards nominations earlier this year, for which they ultimately got rewarded for their sophomore album “Illusion&Doubt” as Roots album of the year. We are hopeful that The Dead South will receive another award to put under their belt – stay tuned for more news!

This Sunday March 25th, The Juno Awards Ceremony will be broadcasted live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, on cbcmusic.ca/junos! The Dead South are nominated in two categories: “Traditional Roots Album of the Year” and “Breakthrough Group of the Year”. We’re crossing our fingers for The Dead South and congratulations to all nominees. Ceremony performers this year are Arcade Fire, The Arkells, City and Colour, The Barenaked Ladies and many more. Be lead through the program by none other than Michael Buble.

If you’re not in Austin yet, you should be on the way by now! Hurry up and don’t miss The Dead South at the Continental Club (Friday) and at Lucille (Saturday)!
